Jan. 1, 2018 First Baby of 2018 Born at St. Luke's in Brazoria County

LAKE JACKSON — It’s unusual for the first baby of the new year in Brazoria County to be one scheduled in advance, since doctors generally take the New Year’s Day off like most workers.

Since there were no unscheduled deliveries on Jan. 1 this year, however, Jaxon Joseph LeBouf’s planned Cesarean section Tuesday morning at CHI St. Luke’s Health-Brazosport in Lake Jackson gave him the honor of first birth of 2018.

Jax, as he will be called by his parents, Heather and Justin LeBouf of Angleton, and big sister Aubree, came in at 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and 18 1/2 inches long.
